DAB-Retrofit (Jaguar)

DAB Retrofit for Jaguar X400 (X-Type), X350/X358 (XJ), X200 (S-Type) with Navi-System

Requirements for the retrofit are (roughly) the following things:

Needed Parts

  • Sat-Nav touchscreen unit with [BAND] button (from 2008) (9X43-10E889-BA).
  • Sat-Nav-Software update to 2012 (DVD 7W93-10E887-AC) – the latest one!
  • MOST-D2B Gateway module (7W93-19C123-AD)  –  VERY RARE and hard to find!!! (see Picture)
  • Selfmade Cable/loom for MOST-D2B Gateway module
  • DAB+ module with MOST fibre connection from Jag XF (CPLA-14F720-BN)
  • Power Cable for DAB-Module (CX23-14B540 / C2D22599 / LR032814)
  • D2B Y-cable (Jaguar)
  • MOST-cable (universal)
  • DAB antenna (universal with SMB-Plug – or recommented: Blaupunkt Art.nr. 5104990000001 – old Version!) (see Picture)

Wiring

MOST-D2B-Gateway module (7W93-19C123-AD)

Power-Plug has 4 wires:
Pin 1      Permanent  Battery +                  NA27-1   GB   (Green/Black) (Fuse 15A – Passenger Junction FuseBox Fig. 01.3)
Pin 2      Ignition Switched  Battery +      NA27-2   YG   (Yellow/Green)
Pin 3      D2B wakeup                                  NA27-3   OG  (Orange/Green) (orange wires on D2B modules)
Pin 4      Earth/Ground –                             NA27-4   B   (Black)

MOST-D2B Gateway module is to fit between CD-Charger (1. Position D2B-Loop) & Cellular Module (3. Position D2B-Loop) with the D2B Y-cable   (-> Network Configuration)

MOST wiring is self-explanatory.

DAB+ Module (Jaguar & LandRover) (CPLA-14F720-BN)

Power-Plug (LR032814) for DAB+ Module has two wires:
Pin 1      Permanent  Battery +           C2158-1  U (Blue)  (Fuse 10A)   (Top view: right)
Pin 2      Earth/Ground –                      C2158-2  B (Black)                     (Top view: left)

DAB Retrofit for Jaguar X150 (XK), Range-Rover (L322)

Folgende Teile werden benötigt:

  • DAB+Module CPLA-14F720-BN  vom Jaguar XF
  • DAB+Module DW83-14F720-CA  (C2P25499) vom Jaguar XF*
  • Stromkabel: C2D22599 / LR032814 (oder YPC108210 nur Stecker ohne Kabel)
  • MOST-Y-Kabel  (universal)
  • DAB-Antenne  (universal)

*Bei älteren Fahrzeugen (mit J-Gate-Wahlhebel) könnte es sein, dass beim CPLA-14F720-BN nach dem ausschalten der Zündung,
bzw, nach einem Start-/Zündungsvorgang, die Senderliste gelöscht wird. Recherchen haben ergeben, das man mit dem JLR SDD-Diagnosesystem bei dem CPLA-14F720-BN, im eingebauten Zustand, die DW83-Firmware aufspielen kann um die Version zu korrigieren. Diese verhindert diesen Fehler!

Hinweise / Allgemeines / Fehler

Die DAB-Module 6H52-19C032-AX  oder auch AH42-14D401-AA sind für das alte DAB, das in Deutschland mittlerweile abgeschaltet wurde!
